Many companies are setting their sights on emerging and fast-growing markets, where economic conditions are advancing more quickly than in mature markets. The emerging market landscape is dominated by the BRICs – Brazil, Russia, India, and China – with Brazil leading the way in Latin America. Working in partnership with other Government agencies in the Country, the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development is responsible for coordinating the design and implementation of Brazil's innovation and development strategy. Roberto dos Reis Alvarez, the Agency International Affairs Manager, will discuss how Brazil is working with entrepreneurs, investors and supporting industries to make this strategy a reality.
