Internal Controls: Best Practices for Cost-Effective Auditing: THIS WEEK

Auditors used to be able to opt out of examining internal controls prior to the issuance of the risk-based standards.  Those standards increased the scrutiny of this critical part of the audit process to the point that auditors are beginning to wonder if their efforts are resulting in extra work for little in the way of return. But it doesn't have to be that way.  In this two-hour CPE program, experienced auditor and instructor, Alan Anderson, CPA, takes a close look at the questions many auditors are asking and sharpens those questions through a planning process that makes sure internal control work seeks answers in the places most likely to yield them.
