2. TAGLAW & TIAG SHOW SUPPORT FOR JUSTICE IN RUSSIA: UPDATE

Moscow Plans Posthumous Trial Against Former TAGLaw Member, Sergei Magnitsky 

To further complicate an already troublesome situation in Russia, investigators announced last week that they will likely prosecute former TAGLaw member, Sergei Magnitsky of Firestone Duncan (Russia). Mr. Magnitsky died in a Moscow prison, while being held on accusations of tax fraud. However, those charges found to be fabricated when investigated by a presidential human rights commission. LBB & Associates Ltd., LLP (Houston, Texas, USA) recently received a referral from Felipe Pestana of Grupo Planus (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) concerning a Norwegian client of theirs, who was acquiring an oil-field service company in the Houston, Texas area. Pete Nelson of LLB observed how his firm's relationship with the purchaser evolved quickly based on their prior experience with Mr. Pestana and their knowledge that LBB was also a member of TIAG. The Norwegian executive also expressed their desire to use TIAG firms wherever their acquisitions may take them. When asked about this recent success, Mr. Pestana said, "This is, after all, the very reason we all have joined TIAG and TAGLaw!"
