Dear TIAG Contacts:
"CEBU, Philippines — The scale of the devastation and the desperation wrought by one of the most powerful storms ever to buffet the Philippines came into much clearer view on Monday"
That is how the N.Y. Times opened its coverage of the impact of the typhoon that hit the Philippines on Friday. We have friends there in our member firms, Banaria Banaria Co. and Siguion Reyna Montecillo Ongsiako Law Offices; their countrymen are suffering greatly.
Those of you who were in Munich heard Harvey Feuerstein tell us all of the significant impact TAG Foundation generosity has had on individuals at his firm, at other TAGLaw and TIAG member firms and around the world. Little did we know at that time that other of our members would, within weeks, have their countrymen left without food and shelter.
TAG FOUNDATION NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT.
When an earthquake left 400,000 homeless in Japan, TAG Foundation helped by providing Shelter Box International units to house and feed displaced families. In San Francisco, at our conference, we presented Shelter Box USA a check from TAG Foundation for $5,000 to further aid their humanitarian efforts. Another $25,000 was provided to a relief organization for the cause. We have to provide similar aid now.
Any amount, large or small, will help us respond, on behalf of all of you.
